Extended School Year Program
The Hunterdon Learning Center’s 30 day Extended School Year “ESY” program is designed to give eligible students the opportunity to maintain both the social and academic momentum they have achieved throughout our ten month school year.
Our ESY program is built upon the same therapeutic community concepts and social learning theory that define our ten month school program. In addition to academic instruction, ESY students benefit from an array of cooperative and experiential learning projects.

A student’s ESY program eligibility is determined by their IEP team. Inquiries regarding our ESY program should be directed to Frances Tardive, Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction at 908-832-7200 x19.

ESY students receive:

- Individual and small group instruction

- Individualized lesson planning

- Group counseling to address conflict resolution and personal responsibility

- Exciting on and off-campus experiential learning activities

- Health Office services/Full-time School Nurse
